THOUGHT THREADS was conceived in 2006 as a line of custom t-shirts. Each shirt was hand painted and many times worn while paint was still drying. They were produced specific to the event i was attending, the people i was meeting up with or specific inspired thought that came to me before going out. The shirts quickly became a hit with the event circuit and custom orders began coming in. 

 

In 2020 i set aside the spray paint and stencils and now have each shirt professionally screen printed to order.  Since then, the concept of THOUGHT THREADS has evolved into a large scale video installation that had its debut during the 2022 Venice Biennale (seen below). The response has lead me to continue the evolution and develop new works for future exhibition. Below you can see some examples of early renditions as well as a look into the future of this production.
